Description

Vespa ET3 125 cylinder:

THE NEW LEGEND

Malossi It is proud to present to its public the total rebirth of an authentic legend, one of the most long-lived and successful projects that have ever been associated with our brand: the new and incredible cylinder for Vespa ET3 125. This time it is entirely in aluminum.

The history of this boiler starts in 1982, when, for the first time in an iron cylinder with this segment, an oring is used as a seal between the head and the cylinder, a refined solution that still represents the state of the art today .

Malossi he took a blank sheet to rewrite his project, conceiving it from scratch from the roots, innovating and presenting to his audience a cylinder that enters the glorious family of thermal groups MHR.

Aluminum has taken the place of cast iron and the seat of the reed valve has been completely redesigned, an authentic revolution capable of solving the shortcomings of the original Vespa admission since 1982, and now equipped with a crossbar to ensure greater stability piston ring.

The displacement rises to 130 cubic centimeters, while the six decantings are the result of the know-how and technology acquired over decades of racing in the scooter world and applied for the first time in history to a Vespa cylinder capable of reaching very high powers and speeds up to 11.000 laps.

The exhaust has also been totally redesigned and now features a booster scheme, a racing solution that guarantees a large expulsion surface for the burnt gases, reducing the fatigue of the piston rings.

The philosophy Malossi has always provided a complete and powerful plug and play. Therefore, the total re-edition of the reed manifold assembly to the specific cylinder for this thermal group could not be missing (code = 2016319 - only for VESPA ET3 PRIMAVERA).

Massive fluid dynamics studies and simulations carried out with futuristic software have made it possible to perfectly connect the manifolds obtaining a practically completely straight assembly, able to guarantee the best possible passage from the carburettor to the admission, all remaining perfectly inside the body. of the Vespa.

The piston, made specifically for this cylinder, which is now super light, single-ply and with very high performance, is also unpublished.
