Description
The brake system is often woefully overlooked when it comes to scooter tuning. What use is the strongest engine when it is not possible to bring your scooter to a stop safely? The OE PIAGGIO drum brake system is just not strong enough for tuned scooters. In order for vintage and small frame riders to enjoy the benefits of a disc brake we have these modified steering columns available. Originally made for the VESPA PK 50 - 125 / S / XL / SS / Automatica models, it lends itself perfectly to this purpose. These items are altered at each end, the steering lock recess has been adapted along with the steering cap range to fit these earlier models.
This conversion allows the use of a disc brake system GRIMECA 20mm and 10 '' - wheels can also be used with their best handling characteristics and much wider choice of pneumatic type with the necessary speed rating. The steering column can be mounted without modifications to the frame of your Vespa. The fender however will require slight modification in order to secure properly and a shortened shock absorber will restore the angle required for the final suspension link!
