Developing the engine of a Vespa in search of greater performance goes far beyond simply changing the thermal unit: each modification affects all engine components, taking them beyond the modest limits for which they were designed.

Hence, even apparently secondary components such as the clutch require appropriate modifications and improvements in order to better withstand the increase in power and torque and to guarantee the legendary reliability of the most classic of scooters.

From the technical offices of Malossi therefore the new reinforced clutch bell was born, capable of managing at best all powers and all revs. In fact, in prepared engines, due to the high number of revolutions, it happens that the external fins of the bell open thus causing its function to fail. To overcome this problem, the new POWER UP CLUTCH BASKETBALL bell has a reinforcement ring welded on the external side of the bell with the function of preventing the latter from opening.

The toothed wheel is riveted to the bell with 16 rivets and therefore allows up to 16 clutch springs to be mounted, thus allowing the whole clutch to handle much higher torque and power than those for which the standard one was designed.

To complete this component intended for all Vespas, from those developed to have just a little more liveliness to those purely racing, the bell has 8 holes that make it lighter and reduce its moment of inertia clutch discs.
