Clutch pinion 22 teeth, for primary POLINI (teeth 64), DRT for COSA 2 clutch for Vespa 125 VNA-TS / 150 VBA-Super / 180-200 Rally / PX80-200 / PE / Lusso / Cosa / T5, straight teeth, clutch: 115mmThe gearbox gear drives the clutch assembly main gear of the gearbox to the input shaft in the large VESPA engine frame. Through varying the size or number of teeth in this gear, you can change the main gear ratio of your engine. Changing the clutch gear is the easiest and fastest way to change the overall shift ratio of your engine. The more teeth the clutch gear cog has, the greater the teeth.
The gear gears for the II COSA clutch are available with teeth 20, 21, 22 and 23. The gears with 20 or 22 teeth fit into 125-150cc engines and the 21 or 23 toothed gears in the 200cc engine without having to also replace the primary pinion with gears. If, on the other hand, the primary gearbox gear is also replaced, all clutch gears can be used with either size of the engine. The primary driven gear gear in the 200cc engine with 65 teeth can be combined with 21 or 22 toothed gears, together with the original element with 23 teeth. The most popular gear conversion gear clutch is the version with 22 teeth, thus allowing for improved acceleration through the gears, without costly tuning measures, especially between the 3 '' and 4 '' gears. For VESPA T5 engines equipped with the kit MALOSSI 172cc cylinder, a clutch gear cog with 21 or 22 teeth, proved suitable. If the 65 tooth driven main gear (from the 200cc engine) is used in a 125-150cc engine the 200 clutch gear gear can also be employed in the smaller engine.
DRT have also managed to fill in the gaps in the number of gear teeth available for the COSA PIAGGIO II clutch gear. DRT manufactures clutch gear gears suitable for all sizes of primary gears. A decidedly quieter and more durable kinematic chain is the result. This also extends the overall life of the gearbox and therefore the engine and also improves the efficiency of the transmission, with more power reaching the rear wheel. The straight cut gear cog with 22 or 24 teeth are designed for use with the primary gear cog POLINI driven. The primary gear ratio of 2,67 resulting from the ratio between the gear teeth of 24 teeth on the clutch gear gear and 64 teeth on the driven primary gear is higher than the primary conversion gear ratio available for the COSA II clutch apart from the Worb5 version of course ... The clutch gear cog with 23 teeth manufactured by DRT combines perfectly with the PIAGGIO OE primary drive pinion driven in 125-150cc with 67 toothed gear motors and 68 toothed gears respectively.
Useful hint: All large models since the VESPA VNA / VNB range until 1994 can be equipped with the COSA II clutch. With these 125-150cc models the existing clutch cover must be modified due to the larger size of the COSA II clutch conversion, or replaced with the clutch cover from the 200cc engine and a suitable pressure plate. For this reason they were included in the accompanying lists.
Conclusion: A suitable transmission is available for each model included in the accompanying lists.
