This speed sensor is simply placed along the steering column in place of the original speedometer unit and receives the signal from the speedometer gear, located in the front axle. The waterproof cable is connected to the sensor. It needs to be pulled through the steering column and attached to the speedometer.

The advantages of the new system are a more accurate measurement of actual speed and a goodbye stops constantly snapping cables of the speedometer unit!

Conclusion: An excellent complement to the already highly regarded SIP Speedometer / Rev counter unit!
