Since its introduction in 2010, the SIP tachometer has revolutionized the classic scooter speedometer market. Features, which previously required the inclusion of additional instrumentation, have now been integrated into its design with the utmost discretion. Several years and countless customer inquiries culminated with us reuniting with the people of KOSO again to develop an upgrade of our first generation SIP Rev counter that we can be really proud of - the SIP Rev / Speedometer 2.0 counter!

Its outward appearance remains strikingly similar to the original item and its additional features are virtually invisible when not in use. The design of the speedometer dial is also largely identical to that of the Italian original with kilometer scale along with the overall dimensions of the unit. These speedometers are available with both white and black colored surfaces. Furthermore, the version available for the old-school VBB Vespa models can also be ordered in beige / white, providing an authentic sun-bleached appearance. Installation couldn't be simpler and requires no special knowledge. Able to measure speed with the traditional speedometer cable and drive assembly or alternatively with the inclusion of the electronic wheel spin sensor kit, available separately. The speedometer function can no longer be interrupted due to faults in the worms or cables of the speedometer drive and in addition accuracy is also improved. The rpm value is determined through its connection to the light signal provided by the wiring loom.

All data recorded by the device is saved for future reference by an internal storage function. The unit operates on 12 V AC / DC and requires no batteries in the scooter's electrical system. It is also fully compatible with Vespatronic e high performance ignition systems PARMAKIT. A small button is included for adjusting and scrolling functions on the electronic display, which can be easily and inconspicuously placed under the scooter's existing light switch. A captivating gimmick: During the ignition sequence, the speedometer performs a full functional check, similar to today's high-tech GP racing machines.

A new feature of version 2.0 is the choice between an analog speedometer or a tachometer. The speedometer needle can be used to display speed or number of revolutions. During longer journeys it is also possible to record the total travel time and average speeds for both day stops and for the whole tour, which can be set individually. The total number of kilometers traveled, recorded by the original speedometer unit, can also be transferred to the displayed km value. In combination with the SIP fast-flow fuel tap, with fuel reserve sensor, all Vespa models can now benefit from a fuel level warning function. To indicate the decrease level in the fuel tank, "FUEL" starts flashing on the electronic display. In addition, it also improves the voltage regulation of the complete electrical system.

The speed values ​​on the analogue dial of the SIP odometer / tachometer designed for Vespa smallframe models range up to 80. These speedometers are intended for use in Vespa V 50 / PK models which rarely reach higher speeds or engine revolutions . Now, finally, we can provide a high-tech alternative to the more basic playback speedometers that are otherwise currently available.
