Description
When we talk about Wideframe VESPA models we mean the V1-33 / VM / VN VESPA 125/150 VL / VB1 / VD / VGL1. Original VESPA wideframes are not very suitable for long distance travel due to their lack of a descent plane or cruising speed. To make matters worse they are not that easy to adjust either. The simplest solution is to fit a PX or T5 engine along with the obvious advantages of a modern engine that an electric ignition and a possible 20-30 PS performance can provide. Superior cruising speed and maximum lasting reliability of all engine components is the welcome result. To mount the PX engine successfully and inconspicuously within the VESPA wideframe we have an adapter kit available to connect both the motor assembly pin and the PX suspension unit to the frame. According to the model, the modification to the frame may be necessary around the carburetor area, for the side panels and for engines with more than 125 near the exhaust stub. Make sure the wheel fits properly and does not catch on the frame when assembling. If you want to keep the PX 10 '' wheel the front wheel assembly must be changed to allow 10 '' to be used. There is a conversion kit available in case you want to mount an 8 '' wheel to the PX engine. An electrical wiring kit of conversion cables to switch to an electronic ignition is also available, new switches for the lights and rear brake pedal, as well as a suitable voltage regulator unit will also be required.
Conclusion: The most common and effective wideframe conversion to escape slowness.
