| Identity and function | Electronic ignition PARMAKIT Variable advance for Vespa Smallframe engines designed for a 20 mm cone crankshaft. The 57038.22 variant combines a 12 V, 90 W stator with an integral flywheel with a carbon-look fan. The curve varies the advance by approximately 7 degrees: the calibration must therefore be checked across the entire operating range, not just at idle. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Variant and equipment | The flywheel is machined from solid and weighs approximately 1,1 kg. This configuration should not be confused with the versions PARMAKIT 19 mm cone, with flywheels of different mass or with fans of different finishes. | Assembly and setup | Check that the cone and key are intact, clean, and free of burrs. Check the wiring diagram, ground, regulator, and any charging output before powering the system. The flywheel must be tightened to the specified torque for the installed shaft, avoiding impacts on the crankshaft shoulders. Set the initial reference following the kit instructions and measure the actual advance with a strobe light at multiple rpm. After the first start, check for spark stability, operating voltage, absence of rubbing, and proper cooling. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
